Discover the south of the country and sleep in an old Arbeds office

A changing region in a microcosmos: The "Kabaischen" in Tétange shows, how the Minett region has changed over the years.

Six sleeping accommodations await curious guests here, where decades ago the trolley cars were weighed full of the precious, ore-bearing "Minette" rock. This old administrative building of the ironworks company in Tétange is literally dripping with history; from here, the ore went to all the steel plants in the region, creating part of the wealth that changed the fortunes of the Grand Duchy in the 20th century. Now, as in many places in the Minett region, this historic building has been turned into something new: An accomodation of the "Minett Trail"

The works for the transformation of this old administrative building had the very clear vision of preserving and respecting the existing, historical basic form of the building. Thus, the exterior facade remains the same, and the interior should continue to show the close connection with the industrial past. With "street art" and frescoes, this "Kabaischen" is given an industrial-cultural touch. The second floor with the double bed is reached via a ladder, the sleeping facilities are divided by two separate rooms.

In line with circular economy and zero waste principles, the building materials that were removed during the renovation works were reused elsewhere.
